Day 01 Ladakh, We are Here (Arrival in Leh | City Tour)

Upon your arrival at Leh Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Airport, meet a Indeed Holidays representative, who ensures your smooth transfer to the hotel. Be sure to have packed warm clothing, because with an altitude of over 10000 feet above sea level the weather is quite cold in Ladakh, even during the height of summers. you must take complete rest to acclimatize with the high altitude.
Leh is located at 3500 m above sea level and some people can feel discomfort due to rarefied air at this high altitude. This is why it is mandatory to acclimatise fully before beginning any sightseeing or exploration in Leh. This magnificent destination is framed by the Himalayan ranges and offer stunning vistas of barren landscapes that are a photographer’s delight. The stark land is dotted with beautiful monasteries and stupas. Bustling old towns with their markets, souvenir shops and cafes are delightful to explore.

Late in the afternoon, you will drive to the city for a short orientation walk through the busy market. You will also visit the Leh Palace and the Shanti Stupa. Overlooking the town of Leh, the majestic Leh Palace is a sight to behold. This was the former royal residence before the family moved to Stok Palace. The abandoned palace complex now houses a museum which has a rich collection of arts and artefacts including Chinese thangkas (paintings), crowns, jewellery, ceremonials dresses, and some restored bits of murals and interior décor. The Shanti Stupa was built by a Japanese Buddhist in 1991 as a part of the Peace Pagoda mission. This stunning white stupa holds the holy relics of the Buddha and is a great place to meditate and soak in the beauty of the surrounding. Then drive toward to Sangkar, after enjoying your day evening free walk to Leh bazaar for shopping,
Return to the hotel after the visit for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 02 FULL DAY TOUR TO INDUS VALLEY

After breakfast at Hotel, you will proceed to Thiksey village, visit Thiksey monastery an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village and drive to Shey Village, The ancient capital of Ladakh to visit Shey Palace and Gompa. Continue to drive to Hemis monastery the largest & most famous monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism. Later on, the way back to Leh get down at the Sindhu Ghat for Sindhu Darshan and walk along the river, also visit 3 Idiots School campus. After spending some time at the river come back to the Hotel and relax, overnight stay in Hotel at Leh.

Day 03 LEH TO NUBRVALLEY VIA KHARDUNG LA 18390 FT (120 KMS / 5 to 6 Hrs)

Post breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (The Highest Motorable Road In The World) at 5,602 Mtrs / 18,390 Ft, around 39 km from Leh. From the pass, one can see all the way south over the Indus valley & Shayok River to seemingly endless peaks and ridges of the Zanskar range, and north to the giants of the Saser massif. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. above sea level. Upon arrival in Nubra we check in at our Camp / Hotel in Hunder for Overnight stay. In the evening you can walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world. A visit to a Ladakhi home can be arranged. Overnight Stay at the Camp or Hotel.

Day 04 NUBRA VALLEY SIGHTSEEING – LEH

Following an early breakfast, you will check out from your camp / hotel and drive towards Hunder where you have the unique opportunity to ride on a double humped Bactrian camel (Optional). Take a journey through the famous sand dunes of this high-altitude desert surrounded by rugged peaks and ridges.
On your way back, stop at Diskit (Headquarters of Nubra Valley) where you can visit the monastery, This picturesque monastery built on a hill top overlooking the valley, stroll around the market and observe the local people going about their daily chores. Later drive back to Leh reaching in the late afternoon/evening free for leisure, Overnight in Hotel at Leh.

Day 05 LEH – PANGONG LAKE

After breakfast at Hotel, you will proceed to Pangong Lake by Crossing Chang-la pass (The world’s third highest motorable road 5360 m). On the way, you have an amazing view of charming villages, beautiful mountains, animals like Yaks, nomads and beautiful valley of Changthang. Arrive Pangong Lake, it is the highest salt water Lake in the World, shared by two countries India & China. The Lake is 136 km’s long and 5 km’s wide, 47% of this lake is in India and rest is in China. The view of the lake is spectacular and breathtaking. Enjoy the unforgettable scenery beauty of Lake and the voice of Himalayan migrant birds on the Banks of Pangong Lake while appreciating the changing Colors and fascinating high altitude of the Lake. Evening free for leisure, Overnight stay in Fixed camp at Pangong Lake.

Day 06 Pangong Lake- Leh via Changla Pass (149 Km)

 The morning is at leisure when you can explore the ethereal beauty & enjoy the picturesque view of Sun Rise on the Pangong Lake. After you have spent enough time to admire its otherworldly splendour, you will drive back to Leh via the Changla Pass. overnight stay in Hotel at Leh.

Day 07 Goodbye Leh

After breakfast, the day is at leisure till you are transferred to the airport for your flight for onward destination. Bid adieu to the magical land of Ladakh with fond memories of picture-perfect sceneries and breathtaking architecture.
