Jammu Vaishno Devi Kashmir Tour Package

Day 01 Arrive at Jammu & Drive to Katra (55 kms. / 2-3 hrs)

On your arrival in Jammu, you will be welcomed by our Indeed Holidays representative who will assist and escort you to your waiting vehicle. From the station / airport it is a minimum of 02 hrs drive to the holy town of Katra. We will drive on the outskirts of the Jammu city and traverse across the Trikuta hills to eventually arrive in Katra and check in at the hotel for our overnight stay. Rest of the day at leisure for individual activities. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 02 Katra (Vaishnodevi Darshan)

After an early morning breakfast we will begin with a short drive to the base of the trek from where we will begin our trek for Vaishnodevi Darshan. The ascent is good and you will be meeting a lot of co-pilgrims on their way up. Situated at a distance of 13 kilometers walk to the Vaishnodevi temple that takes about 4-5 hours, En-route stops at Adhkwari Temple and darshan at Baba Bhaironath Temple is recommended, the pilgrimage will take a whole day coming and going which also includes brief stops for rest. A popular belief holds that anybody who walks this Himalayan trail to her abode to ask for a boon rarely go back disappointed. After paying your obeisance in front of the deity, you will trek downhill and reach your hotel for a welcome period of rest and relaxation. Overnight in hotel.

Day 03 Katra - Pahalgam Via Patnitop (approx 250 Kms / 8-10 hrs)

After breakfast at the hotel, we will begin our day journey towards Pahalgam. The route traverses through the picturesque mountain resort of Patnitop where we stop for a brief rest over a cup of tea / coffee. From Patnitop we will drive to Ramban that also serves as our next stop for lunch. From Ramban we will drive to Banihal and enter the 2.5 kilometer long Jawahar tunnel that connects the valley of Kashmir with the rest of India. We will emerge from the other side to a warm sunny afternoon and continue our drive towards Pahalgam. On arrival in Pahalgam, we will check in at the hotel and stay there for the night. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 04 Pahalgam Exploration

Today after breakfast, you will get an option to visit the magnificent rocky valleys of Chandanwadi, the Snow Point, which is around 14 km from Pahalgam and a lively pony ride as well, Chandanwadi Starting point of Amarnath Yatra, & Betab valley, Located on the way to Chandanwari, the valley was named Betaab after the Bollywood movie by the same name! Earlier known as Hajan Valley, after the release of the movie, it was renamed as major part of the movie was shot here. After that proceed for trip to Aru Valley – Aru Valley is a tourist spot 11 km from Pahalgam noted for its scenic meadows, and mountains, it is a base camp for trekking to the Kolhoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The village lies of the left bank of the Aru River, which is a tributary of the Lidder river. However, these activities can only be arranged at an additional cost! During the latter part of the day, you can take a leisurely walk around the flourishing pine forests alongside the Lidder River and discover the appeal of Pahalgam’s countryside. By evening, return to the hotel for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 05 Pahalgam - Srinagar Local sightseeing (97 kms. / 3-4 hrs)

After Early Morning Breakfast, Drive from Pahalgam to Srinagar, en route visit saffron fields, Apple Valley & Avantipur. Overlooked by river Jhelum, the town of Avantipur houses two temples that were almost ruined during medieval times. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva, these temples display intricate carvings and alluring sculptures along with an impressive architecture. On Arrival, check in at the Deluxe Houseboat. Enjoy a memorable boat ride by shikara to see and experience the beauty of Dal lake. Also explore waterways, backwaters, canals, floating gardens, vegetable/gardens, Water Lilies, Lotus, Easily accessible mobile vendors, floating handicraft center near the Dal lake. In The Afternoon we will do some half a day of  Local Sightseeing of famous Mughal Gardens With terraced lawns, cascading fountains, paint-box-bright flowerbeds with the panorama of the Dal in front of them - the three Mughal Gardens of Chesmashahi, Nishat and Shalimar are the Mughal Emperors' concept of paradise and are today very popular places for picnics and excursions. In the Evening visit Jamia Masjid, Hazratbal Shrine and Shankaracharya Temple. Overnight at Deluxe Houseboat.

Day 06 SRINAGAR to GULMARG  (54 kms/ Approx. 2 hrs)

After today’s delicious breakfast in the houseboat, embrace yourself for another scenic drive through the sky-scraping mountains and snow-covered peaks of Kashmir.  Today’s drive of around 2 hours will take you to the ‘Meadow of Flowers’ or Gulmarg in Jammu and Kashmir. Located around 2,730m above the sea level, As serene and peaceful as it can get, Gulmarg is truly a fantasy for all. Gulmarg derived its name from the immense lushness of hills, full of colorful flowers, and is thus one of the most popular skiing destination during winter in India. A wide expanse of panoramic surroundings, spectacular views and simplicity add solace to the omnipresent charm of this town.

You may go on a fun-filled gondola ride at your own expense that offers a thrilling view of fir-clad slopes & sledge ride on the snow covered slopes. Gulmarg is famous because of its "Gulmarg Gondola". you can view the Pakistan boarder from top of the hill.  In the evening we will drive back to Srinagar where we can take a walk along the banks of the Dal Lake or simply rest in the cozy rooms of our hotel after having dinner.

Day 07 EXCURSION - SONMARG VIA MANASBAL LAKE & KHEER BHAWANI TEMPLE (83 KMS / APPROX 02 HRS)

Today after Breakfast, proceed for a day excursion to Sonamarg (Golden Meadow). Sonamarg lies in Sind Valley streamed, have abounds of trout and golden mahseer fish, with flowers and surrounded by snow mountains which is furnished all over like a white carpet. Sonamarg is also the base for some interesting treks to the high altitude of Himalayan Lakes. Enjoy horse riding up to Thajiwas glacier, is major attraction during the summer months and sledge riding on snow (on direct payment). While returning back to Srinagar visit Manasbal Lake (Yet another mesmerizing Lake of the Valley) and Kheer Bhawani Temple, the most important temple for the followers of Historical Vedic Religion in Kashmir. Overnight stay at hotel in Srinagar.

Day 08 Departure Srinagar Airport / Jammu Railway Station

Tour Ends Check out From Hotel and drive to Airport (45 mins) for return Journey. Guests are advised to reach Airport 2 hrs before the departure time.
